Lan Viet is a popular family-owned Vietnamese restaurant located in the historic North Market food hall in downtown Columbus, Ohio. A long-standing favorite, the space was due for a thoughtful refresh that honored its legacy while improving function. We reimagined the compact storefront to include a defined order counter, food pickup zone, and a seating area where diners can watch slow-cooked broths and traditional dishes come to life. Natural bamboo wood slats nod to the restaurant’s cultural roots, while vibrant green tile and a sriracha-orange accent reference the fresh herbs and bold flavors of the cuisine. Glowing lantern lights and clean signage bring warmth and clarity, creating a space that feels both rooted and renewed.
